We live in a world that seems ever more chaotic and in which the cord connecting the heavens and earth seems ever more frayed. Join educator Rabbi-Cantor Michael McCloskey as we explore Jewish cosmic origin myths and the central role of music and phonation in reattaching (or strengthening) this “cord” with a “chord”. Moreover, we’ll examine and discuss the ways in which we k’ley kodesh reenact these cosmogonies liturgically, ritually, and pastorally, bringing and channeling order, flow, catharsis, and Inspiration into our communities.
